ASA Shotcrete Inspector Education Program
Washington DC | January 17, 2019
A session is in the works for the ASA Shotcrete Inspector Education Program to be held January 17, 2020, in Washington DC. The Shotcrete Inspector program covers critical elements of shotcrete applications that on-site inspectors must know to evaluate and sign-off on acceptance documents for shotcrete. Topics in this seminar include material selections, equipment, placement techniques, finishing, curing, protection, testing, and safety as it relates to the building official or inspector. This seminar is the recommended educational component to ACI’s new Shotcrete Inspector Certification Program. The seminar will count as a portion of the work experience required for the ACI certification and review the reference materials required for the ACI certification examination. ASA 90-Minute Shotcrete Seminar
NEW for WOC 2020! This session will examine the cost savings shotcrete provides to general contractors and how those savings are also of value to the owner. Challenges associated with shotcrete, including weather conditions and creating the proper mixture design formulation for a successful result will be presented. Additionally, an exploration of the proper placement techniques for reinforced concrete sections that require multiple layers of concrete will be reviewed. Finally, attendees will see current shotcrete projects, both structural and architectural, while defining the future potential of the industry.
